Location Fort Scott Community College Fort Scott, KS Date:  Fri, 2013-06-07 00:00 - Sun, 2013-06-09 00:00 Event Description:  "The 17th annual Echoes of the Trail Cowboy Gathering, in historic Fort Scott, KS, June 7 - 9, 2013 is an entertaining three day event with: a Western Music/Cowboy Poetry contest; two day Trail rides; Wagon train; Chuck Wagon meals; Cowboy and Western trade show; Pie baking contest; and 10 cowboy performers of verse, song and tall windies. Tom Seay and Del Shields of RFD-TV are hosting a two day Best of America by Horseback trail ride in conjunction with the Echoes Gathering. The Cowboy Poetry and Western Musician contest is looking for contestants and the winner will be filmed by RFD-TV and aired on the Best of America by Horseback show. The Pie Baking Contest is a fun activity anyone can enter. Leroy VanDyke will auction off the top 3 pies. Sunday morning Cowboy Church around the Chuck wagon is a hand clapping, toe tapping service followed by a cowboy breakfast.
