Whenever we are getting together for a family gathering, no matter if we have already planned our dinner...I'll always get a call from one of the kids asking me to cook up some of these ribs.
Simple, easy and soooo good!

Dutch oven, "What's in a name?"
Cowboy Cook — Sun, 2010-03-21 03:28
There are many manufacturers of Dutch ovens...so how do you choose?
When you have been cooking as long as I have you know what works and what doesn't.
My preferred choice is Lodge Mfg. cast iron cookware. They are out of Tennessee, over a 100 years old and still family owned. They carry a big selection of Dutch ovens for camping and the real fancy ones for the kitchen too.

What size Dutch oven?
Cowboy Cook — Sun, 2010-03-21 03:06
A common question I get at all my classes is; "What size Dutch oven should I get?"
That is a good question...since "size does matter".
Dutch ovens come in sizes of 10", 12", 14" 16", these are the most common...yes there are smaller and bigger one but let's not worry about those just yet.
What size you get really depends on how many are you feeding and what are you cooking.
