A common question I get at all my classes is; "What size Dutch oven should I get?"
That is a good question...since "size does matter".
Dutch ovens come in sizes of 10", 12", 14" 16", these are the most common...yes there are smaller and bigger one but let's not worry about those just yet.
What size you get really depends on how many are you feeding and what are you cooking.

This cake is probably the most cooked recipe in the Dutch oven. To make clean-up easy...I do line my Dutch oven with foil. Now I know, alot of Dutch oven purest will say "the old timers never used foil"... My feeling is, if it was available, they would.

I have more than 50 pieces of campfire cookware...some skillets, chicken fryers, Dutch ovens and bean pots...
The question I get mostly is what's the diff' between a Dutch oven and a bean pot? A lot of people will tell me that that have a cast iron Dutch oven, without the little "feet" on it. Well, that's the differance between the two.

I'm getting more calls for classes and demonstrations as the weather warms.
I work alot with the local Historical Society...the workshops are usually 25 people with me doing all the cooking.
