Event Description:
Created in the early 1970s during one of the last large cattle roundups in northern Mexico, this exhibition of images by Bill Wittliff includes more than 60 digital carbon-ink prints with bilingual narrative text that reveal the muscle, sweat, and drama that went into roping a calf in thick brush or breaking a wild horse in the saddle. Created as a traveling exhibition in partnership with Humanities Texas, and made possible by a "We the People" grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
