If you haven’t been tuned in, Hell on Wheels is AMC’s critically-acclaimed contemporary Western series that centers on former Confederate soldier Cullen Bohannon, portrayed by Anson Mount, whose quest for vengeance has led him to the Union Pacific Railroad’s westward construction of the first transcontinental railroad. The show recently won a Western Heritage Award, an honor given by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum to works in literature, music, film and television that reflect the significant stories of the American West.
