Makes 9 servings
APPLE CAKE
¦ 1 cup sugar
¦ 1 egg
¦ 1/2 stick butter, melted
¦ 1 cup all-purpose flour
¦ 1 t. baking soda
¦ 1/2 t. salt
¦ 1/2 t. nutmeg
¦ 1/2 t. cinnamon
¦ 2 cups peeled apple slices
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish and bake for about 40 minutes or until done.
CARAMEL SAUCE
¦ 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
¦ 1/2 cup sugar
¦ 1 t. vanilla extract
¦ 1 T. butter
¦ 1/2 cup Half and Half
Bring ingredients to a boil. Serve hot over
slices of cake.
